Origin of Croquet: Believed to be Ireland in the 1830s

Pall Mall: Possibly an early English version of croquet, with literary references from the 1660s

Paille-Maille: Possibly an early French version of croquet, as shown on a mid-15th century tapestry

Game Variations: Association and Golf are the two most popular; Backyard, 9-Wicket, 6-Wicket, and eXtreme are others
